Waiting on Wednesday (#53) - The Haven by Carol Lynch Williams

Waiting on Wednesday is Hosted by Jill @ Breaking The Spine

The Haven

Goodreads Summary: For the teens at The Haven, the outside world, just beyond the towering stone wall that surrounds the premises, is a dangerous unknown. It has always been this way, ever since the hospital was established in the year 2020. But The Haven is more than just a hospital; it is their home. It is all they know. Everything is strictly monitored: education, exercise, food, and rest. The rules must be followed to keep the children healthy, to help control the Disease that has cast them as Terminals, the Disease that claims limbs and lungs—and memories.

But Shiloh is different; she remembers everything. Gideon is different, too. He dreams of a cure, of rebellion against the status quo. What if everything they’ve been told is a lie? What if The Haven is not the safe place it claims to be? And what will happen if Shiloh starts asking dangerous questions?

Why I'm Waiting For It: I honestly really like the cover. It's eye-catching and I love blue and it goes so well with the plot of the book. I'm really waiting for get this on my hands because it sounds amazing (the Terminals, The Haven) I want to pick it up! But has anyone noticed a book called Haven by Kristi Cook that came out in 2011? Could that be the trend for 2014?

New book? But similar title and aspect?

Anyway, I cannot wait for this one and I like the cover a lot!

  5. Books with the same title confuse me. I totally thought this was the other Haven at first. lol And you know why? They changed this one's cover. I double checked and it is already on my TBR. Yay! I wish they wouldn't do that all the time. And I like the other cover better because where this cover is really pretty, it reminds me of others and that also has the butterfly on it. I don't think that was a good marketing idea. But that's just my thoughts. lol Thanks for sharing!
