They are outnumbered and outmatched by the powerful corporation that controls the world, and the cruel Chancellor is inches away from completing a scheme that would kill most of humanity. Zoe's only remaining option is to chase the impossible dream of upending the Link system, freeing the world from the hardware that controls their thoughts and emotions, and hope it will trigger a revolution. The plot requires a nearly impossible mission to infiltrate the dangerous Community, and it is a task that Zoe must unfortunately complete alone. With challenges and surprises at every turn, nothing goes according to plan. Adrien's visions of the future now show two possible outcomes: one in which they succeed, and one in which humanity falls. It all lies in Zoe's hands.

The thrilling conclusion to an action-packed sci-fi trilogy
I am so excited to share with you my stop for Heather Anastasiu's Shutdown blog tour with a review! Be sure to stop by the other stops today also :)
Shutdown by Heather Anastasiu is even better than it's preceders with intense action, surprising revelations, and it will leave you breathless! Heather definitely kicks it up way more in her finale in the Glitch series. I grew so close to these characters since the first book and it's bittersweet to see it to an end, especially if you love sci - fi with a dash of dystopians and you decided to pick it up :)
In the first book with got to see Zoe's world, in the second book we see the struggles of her world along with Adrien, and in last book we see such an epic conclusion. Zoe's choices was a big factor in this book. There's also something distant with Adrien and Zoe that make the stakes higher and the Rez is gone. I definitely could relate to Zoe so much more in this book and the feeling she has toward Adrien, the Chancellor, everyone it was real. It was kinda heartbreaking that there wasn't as much romance scenes with Zoe and Adrien in this one, since there was something wrong with him, but the scenes they shared were so special and simple. But still...this was a "different" Adrien! So readers be prepared. *Sighs* But, there's a lot of action with Zoe using her cool telekinesis with the other Glitchers which was amazing! Shutdown strikes a balance with it's characters, action, and suspense which made me love it even better. The characters we meet in Override like Ginni and Xona were my favorites in the book since they were so fun to read and they were real.I loved reading about they especially the conversations they had, it was hilarious! Zoe was such a strong and impactful leader...I'll tell you that Shutdown does end on a amazing and strong note too. I was blown away by this book! The plot was short of brilliance! It wasn't a heavy read, but it was light and filled with the perfect amount of action and suspense. Heather hits some high notes in creating such a diverse and well - thought of dystopian world and gets it's reader at the edge of their seat. This was one of my favorite reads this year! Yes yes it was! If you haven't picked up Glitch, do so now! *Grabs the book and hands it over* I would definitely recommend this book to any YA reader and it's light and fresh for summer also :) Heather will leave you breathless and amazed with Shutdown, no doubt.
