Many worlds. Many lives--infinite possibilities.
Welcome to the multiverse.

Sixteen-year-old Sasha Lawson has only ever known one small, ordinary life. When she was young, she loved her grandfather's stories of parallel worlds inhabited by girls who looked like her but led totally different lives. Sasha never believed such worlds were real--until now, when she finds herself thrust into one against her will.

To prevent imminent war, Sasha must slip into the life of an alternate version of herself, a princess who has vanished on the eve of her arranged marriage. If Sasha succeeds in fooling everyone, she will be returned home; if she fails, she'll be trapped in another girl's life forever. As time runs out, Sasha finds herself torn between two worlds, two lives, and two young men vying for her love--one who knows her secret, and one who thinks she's someone she's not.

The first book in the Many-Worlds Trilogy, Tandem is a riveting saga of love and betrayal set in parallel universes in which nothing--and no one--is what it seems.

From Goodreads

Tandem was one of those books you either pick up because of a jaw dropping cover or a promising premise, I read it because of Teenboard's He Said/She Said feature and I liked Tadem a lot! Despite not knowing the characters, even that the main character is called Sasha, or the whole premise, I got it after a couple chapters in. Tadem was a gripping and enchanting books that does parallel universes justice in ways but Anna has her twist on it.

Sasha Lawson's life is turned around when she meets a boy and taken into a new world to take place of a princess that is just exactly like her. Being thrown in a experience like Sasha would totally be crazy and exciting at the same time! I think Sasha's reaction when she discovers her duty in the world is exactly what I would feel: crazy, excited, and freaked out. It had great transition throughout the whole books and that resulted in the parallel universe aspect well done!

Another thing that I liked about Tadem was that forbidden-esque romance Sasha shared throughout the novel. I thought that it was well done and it could have been stronger a bit. I found Sasha to be a real and honest character, almost too much at times, which lead to a downfall in the novel. I was hoping Anna would thrown Sasha into some kick ass action in the novel and I didn't get that feel or scene in the book.

Overall, Tadem was a good book that does the parallel universe concept well having great cast of characters and a well paced premise. It is definitely a book that YA reader of parallel universe books would pick up and I would recommend!

The DNF Collection (#2) - Could You Have Been Better?

The DNF Collection is a way to showcase books that you semi read and dropped off the book and tell us why it wasn't that perfect books for you.

All Our Pretty Songs (All Our Pretty Songs, #1)

All Our Pretty Songs by Sara McCarry  - I just not do this book at all. I know that I'm into contemporaries, but this was just a plain snooze fest  One dimensional characters, weird narration, and boring plot line I would pass this book in a heart beat.

Frozen by Melissa De La Cruz - I am so sad to say I was not happy with this book Mel! I love your Blue Bloods series so much, Frozen was a let down. I was hoping for this one to be one of my fav's of 2013, but ending up being in my DNF pile :( But I think any YA reader should pick Frozen up even though it wasn't for me :)

What's on YOUR DNF Collection?

Follow Friday (#25) - Embarrassed to Admit

Follow Friday is Hosted @ The Parajunkee

Today's Question:
What book are you embarrassed to admit you LOVED? (try to think beyond Twilight).

My Answer:
Wow, this one has to be a tough one! Right now all I'm thinking of is the Twilight series, but I know there has to be a book in the back of my mind! I might have to say The Selection by Kiera Cass! The cover was definitely not a man type of book, but after finishing it I loved it a lot. I mean not many guys with pick this up but I did and I don't regret it!

P.S I still can't get over the cover
