Book Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
384 pages
Publisher: Scholastic Press; 1st edition (September 14, 2008)
Sypnosis:In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
My Review,Thought,Feeling, etc on this book: I finally got my hands on it!!!(: I've been hearing good things about it and I finished it in one day. Here are 3 main things that stood out for me in the book making me want to read it:

- Katniss and Peeta make a really becoming couple, even though they have a fake romance in the book for survival. They really balance each other out Katniss, aperson who's really strong yet feels. And there's Peeta who's sly and mysterious in the begining of the book and showing who he really is
- The first person point of view she choose helped the reader to really connect and in most cases with FPPOV for me I hate it, but Suzanne Collins did it in a really good way!!:):)
- The way the society is structured really added to the excitedment of the story and the way everything connents, creating a really epic story. LOVED,LOVED<3 IT SO MUCH
Hope the choices surprise you!
Book Review:City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
541 Pages
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Sypnois:
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters — never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and her best friend, Simon, has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her new found powers to help save the Glass City — whatever the cost?
Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and JaceNew York Times bestselling The Mortal Instruments.
My Review,Opinions, and Feelings for this book: For me this is one of the BEST books I read in the Mortal Instruments. Come on, it had all the whirlwind of emotional dark love, action, feeling, lore, and the best feeling as if your next to the characters. Cassandra Clare has outdone herself. This is her best book so far in the Mortal Instruments. ( well there's City of Fallen Angels?) She finally had the action I've been waiting for and she delivered it perfectly!
**SPOILER ALERT** It was one of the really cutest scenes in the Mortal Instruments was when Valentine summoned the angel Raziel. By doing this he caused himself to get killed leaving Clary with one decision to have any wish she desires- and that is Jace(really obvious!!!). It was very nice and romantic and I read City of Fallen Angels and ****SPOILER ALERT ***** by Clary making that decison she left Jace to be taken over by Sebatian, since he didn't have any of the protective ritual, spells the Silent Brother and Ironsister give to any newborn Shadowhunter.
Really loved it!! Leave comment/thoughts on this!

Book Review:City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
453 Pages
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Published February 24th 2009 by Simon Pulse
Synopsis:
Welcome back to the exotic world beyond the shadows...
Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
In this breathtaking sequel to City of Bones, Cassandra Clare lures her readers back into the dark grip of New York City's Downworld, where love is never safe and power becomes the deadliest temptation
My Review,Feelings, and Opinions on the book: For starters, I loved this book alot- especially the famous couple Jace and Clary. It seemed that Cassandra Clare put more time into her second novel, I mean more character, hardships, and more dark romance. I felt more connected to Clary and what she's feeling. This book also had some pitfalls, like the no-action ending** SPOLIER ALERT** when Clary uses her ability to created runes and use it to destroy Valentine's ship, she fainted and the next day she was at a hospital. Really! Did it have to end like this? Overall, I really loved City of Ashes and give it <3 <3 <3 <3 hearts!!!
