The Candymakers by Wendy Mass is a very reminiscent book of Roahl Dalh's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. If your looking for a great, fun, delicious, and mysterious book this is one for you. Four children have been chosen to compete in a national competition to find the tastiest confection in the country. Who will invent a candy more delicious than the Oozing Crunchorama or the Neon Lightning Chew? Logan, the Candymaker's son, who can detect the color of chocolate by touch alone?
Miles, the boy who is allergic to merry-go-rounds and the color pink
Daisy, the cheerful girl who can lift a fifty-pound lump of taffy like it's a feather?
Or Philip, the suit-and-tie wearing boy who's always scribbling in a secret notebook?
This sweet, charming, and cleverly crafted story, told from each contestant's perspective, is filled with mystery, friendship, and juicy revelations.
I loved this book allot because it one of those thing when you read it it makes you really hungry and willing to eat that chocolate bar you've been saving. Any yet you still have this great moral in the story that will probably make your wonder about(SPOILER!!: the factory's secret to make this good bar of chocolate!)
What really attracted me to this book is the front cover and Wendy Mass' books( since i already read one of her books called: A Mango-Shaped Space, really good tooo!:D) Give it a try and fell free to comment on this post!!!!;D
