Book Review:Envy by Greg Olsen

Envy by Greg Olsen

Hardcover, 285 pages
Published September 6th 2011 by Splinter

Sypnosis: Murder is such a dirty word…
New York Times bestselling adult true crime author Gregg Olsen makes his YA debut with EMPTY COFFIN, a gripping new fiction series for teens based on ripped-from-the-headlines stories…with a paranormal touch.
Crime lives--and dies--in the deceptively picture-perfect town of Port Gamble (aka “Empty Coffin”), Washington. Evil lurks and strange things happen--and 15-year-olds Hayley and Taylor Ryan secretly use their wits and their telepathic “twin-sense” to uncover the truth about the town's victims and culprits.

Envy, the series debut, involves the mysterious death of the twins' old friend, Katelyn. Was it murder? Suicide? An accident? Hayley and Taylor are determined to find out--and as they investigate, they stumble upon a dark truth that is far more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.

Based on the shocking true crime about cyber-bullying, Envy will take you to the edge--and push you right over.

My Review:
Envy by Greg Olsen was such A book deserving the "Best Creepy Book Cover Award!" since its immediately haunted you from page one. Its was such a eerie,gripping,spine-tickling read that it kept me on EDGE after reading it at night on a Friday. It made with sweat with the heart-chilling elements really crafted carefully in the book! I was very happy to review this book for Splinter Publishing when I requested an ARC of Colleen Houck's Tiger Voyage. The ending was crazy, I loved the twins Hayley and Taylor with their curious personality, and it was such a different, cool YA Book based on a true crime story! :D Definitely give it a try and try to stray from your normal reads!

Its about a girl named Katelyn whom commits suicide in her bathroom because of some drama about a guy and her mom. After the accident, the town of Port Gamble is abuzz on what happened to Katelyn and the cause of her killing herself.  Twins Hayley and Taylor use their telepathic senses to solve a mystery that left everyone dumbfounded.

Eerie and scary a book with a title Envy is sure to bring you chills you never dreamed.

5 Balloons! Its was a different read and I enjoyed it alot! :D ^^

Book Review: Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Hardcover, 489 pages
Published May 3rd 2011 by HarperCollins Children's Books
Format: Bought from Amazon
Sypnosis:In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves… or it might destroy her.
Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.

Beatrice Prior lives in a dyspotian Chicago, where her society is divied into five fractions: Abegenation(the selfless), Candor(the honest), Dauntless(the fearless), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite(the smarty-pants^^). On the day of her Choosing Ceremony, Beatrice makes a choice that surprises her and her family.
As she settles down in her new-faction, she questions her choice and remanes herself: "Tris" The harsh and cruel intitaion that everyone is in, tests her wits, strenghts, and weeknesses. And is having a struggle finding her friends, a boys whom she finds infuriating, and herself. Tris holds a secret she never wants to tell anyone or wanted to be. Book Review: Captivate by Carie Jones

Captivate by Carrie Jones
Hardcover, 273 pages
Published January 5th 2010 by Bloomsbury USA
Sypnosis:Zara and her friends knew they hadn't solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king's needs grow deeper every day he's stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It's made him vulnerable. And now there's a new king in town.

A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley swears that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he's one of the good guys. Nick isn't buying it, though Zara isn't as sure -- despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. But it's a lot more than her relationship with Nick that is at stake. It's her life -- and his.

My Thoughts....& Other Things....
Carrie Jones did it AGAIN! She is such a great writer that Captivate overshadowed Need!
It so ADDICTING to just read Captivate! More steamy romance, awesome Zara and her groupie, and a chilfhanger in the ennding!! This book was so right and purely AWESOME! Carrie Jones made you show what she has and just makes you go like "WHY!?", "Nooooo.WHY CARRIE JONES!!", and you know she isn't afraid of writing what she wants and makes you go like:OMG! NO!

I just can keep reading her books, especially since it makes you devour them within a day!!! :) Eveveything is great, like the witty and strong Zara, the bubbly Issie, the know it all and half eagle Devyn, and Astley a guys who just like Nick but a pixie. When Astely was introduced I was like:"NOOOOooo! Another guy???!!" but he's really some important person...if you've read the book.. :D Just lots of funny things with a Astley and Nick... :)

And in the end my jaw dropped and I was just wanted to laugh out loud, be angry, since all her books have emotional ending (the good one!)

My Review.....
So Captivate really picked up after Need, the pixies and Zara's freaky stalker who turns out to be a pixie. Things are overtaking Zara like round up pixies and locking them, and Astley who just crawls into her life, Zara has a BIG problem. The pixies who seem to slip one by one out of the metal house and a choice that makes Zara to side with Astley.
Is Zara making the wrong choices?
Find out in Captivate.......

After reading this I was CAPTIVATED!!!! And in the end, I'm so TEAM Astley! :) Then I so forgot about Nick....and its so Zara and Astley!!! A way better sequel than the first and a recommendation to pixie lovers or paranormal romance this books IS FOR YOU! :)

5 stars! So GOOD! :)

Cover of the Week #11

I love this cover and it may be one of the BEST! Captivate by Carrie Jones is way better than the Need cover!,right?
So what love about this cover, is the golden eye make up on Zara's and a golden-colored tear drop-representing the pixie dust is really MESMERIZING!
I'm actually reading it right now, and I have to say it has both a great story and cover!
Definetly try out Need then, Captivate even thought the Need cover seems to creepy..... :D
