New To Shelves (#18) - The One Lots of BLOG TOURS!

New To Shelves is a way to share all the great books I got this whole week and to add to my TBR Pile! It also includes a roundup of what's going to happen next week on the blog. It's a new name but similar meme.

 I'll be linking up to:
STSmall_thumb[2]

This week was great! I made it to 2 blog tours hosted by Shane @ Itching For Books and a review copy from St. Martin's Press! So I'm super happy with my haul this week since it was quiet and I can actually take a break and catch up with reading.

From Blog Tour (Thanks for Shane @Itching for Books!) :

I was beyond happy when I got a spot for the two tours above! I can't wait to review both The Shadow Girl and The Last Academy because they look freaking amazing! And I also have interview questions which you'll see on my stop. :0

For Review (Thanks St. Martin's Press!):

The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda (Final Review copy. Thanks so much!) I'll probably throw my ARC one for my birthday giveaway)

That's pretty much it! I also been sketching a lot for my art class at school and I did one really good one and I wanted to share it here.  Is it good? Someone please tell me because I need some feedback!

Coming Up This Week:

Follow Friday (#18) - The Bloggers Confess!

Follower Friday is Hosted @ Parajunkee

Today's Question:
Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops?

 My Answer:
The dreaded blogger confessions! Well, before I started my blog, I already had a bookclub on Goodreads, so I easily new how to manage and organize. But as I got better as a blogger and the club grew I was like oops..why did I start the club? But it does pay off and I never regretted my choice. There were also times were I asked publishers for review copies and was declined, but I wanted to go big and ask them straight then just the authors. I definitely learned a lot from sending in requests too :) Also, don't be afraid to go out of the box and do something daring, young bloggers!

What's Your Follower Friday? :)

If You Find Me Giveaway!

I am super excited to host this giveaway for Emily Murdoch's YA Debut Novel, If You Find Me! One US/Canada winner will win a copy from St. Martin's Press. Ends March 26, 2013. Be sure to check out the book here:

If You Find Me

There are some things you can’t leave behind…A broken-down camper hidden deep in a national forest is the only home fifteen year-old Carey can remember. The trees keep guard over her threadbare existence, with the one bright spot being Carey’s younger sister, Jenessa, who depends on Carey for her very survival. All they have is each other, as their mentally ill mother comes and goes with greater frequency. Until that one fateful day their mother disappears for good, and two strangers arrive. Suddenly, the girls are taken from the woods and thrust into a bright and perplexing new world of high school, clothes and boys.

Now, Carey must face the truth of why her mother abducted her ten years ago, while haunted by a past that won’t let her go… a dark past that hides many a secret, including the reason Jenessa hasn’t spoken a word in over a year. Carey knows she must keep her sister close, and her secrets even closer, or risk watching her new life come crashing down.

Waiting on Wednesday (#22) - Impostor by Jill Hathaway

Waiting on Wednesday is Hosted by Jill @ Breaking The Spine

Impostor (Slide #2)

What if a killer took control of you?

Vee Bell’s gift (or curse) of “sliding”—slipping into the mind of another person and experiencing life, briefly, through his or her eyes—has been somewhat under control since she unwillingly witnessed the horrific deaths of her classmates six months ago.

But just as things are getting back to normal, Vee has a very bizarre experience: she loses consciousness and finds herself in a deserted area, at the edge of a cliff, with the broken body of the boy who took advantage of her on the rocks below.

As Vee finds herself in stranger and stranger situations with no memory of getting there, she begins to suspect that someone she knows has the ability to slide—and that this “slider” is using Vee to exact revenge on his or her enemies.

Why I'm Waiting For It: I loved Slide so much! It was a quick and fun read, I can't wait to see how Impostor goes! Plus the storyline in this one looks more developed! Mind slipping. A stranger. Revenge. Count me in! :)

Slide will be published on March 26, 2013 by Balzer + Bray
