New To Shelves (#4)

New To Shelves is just the same thing as In My Mailbox ans Stacking The Shelves. Just a new name but same thing. It also has a weekly wrap up. I'm also going to be linking up to Tynga's STS and Krisit's In My Mailbox

This week was really quiet! Only received 2 books and I'm really excited for both of them and since school's almost coming the blog will be quiet for a while just till I get a hang of high school as a freshman. :)

-Wake by Amanda Hocking (For Review) This one sounds so good and the cover is so eye-catching! Plus I heard tons of good reviews and I love Amanda Hocking's Trylle Trilogy! :)
-The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong (Bought) I HAD to GET THIS no matter what! I was hooked on The Summoning, and when I got the book I devoured in in 2 whole days flat. Amazing!

What I Got This Week-Insurgent, Wonder, and Fury

Ever since all the plagiarism involing Kristi over from The Story Siren I am not longer particpating in In My Mailbox. I'm not sure what to call today's book haul. Still coming up with a new meme and I'll probably have it by next week. So call this Stacking the Shelves, New In Books, Book Haul...I don't really care actually.But I'm also adding this week's updates to my new meme [not this one] I'm calling this What I Got This Week, not very creative right? 0.0 Now onto my books...

This Week was another AMAZING Week! I'm seriously so happpy I got so much things this week! Yay! :D

So library books, I borrowed Fury by Elizabeth Miles since this one's been on my mind forever and I so wanted to read it ever since last winter! I also borrowed The Pledge by Kimberly Derting. Doesn't that cover scream read me? Yes!

Next,....*suspenseful music*  I bought Insurgent! I can't believe I have it! and I'm already on page 60 something and already there is so much going on! HUGE Expectations for this one! Love the cover! :)

I also bought belly up and Posession by Elana Johnson at my library's used book sale [I really have to go to more of these!] for $1 dollar each. *Gasp* Is it true? Yes and I'm so happy to finally read Posession since I have her sign bookmarks! And belly up is MG, but I love MG before I got into YA and it was on my mind a long time ago.

Then my order from BN came and I got........The Selection by Kiera Cass!  I already finished this on Thursday and loved it so excited for Book 2! And the cover?, awesomesauce! Review should be up by Tuesday. I got Wonder a couple weeks back from a book survey at Goodreads. And I can't wait to dive into this one!

Also got some swag for giveaways. They were outside Barnes and Noble getting wet by the rain so I had to take them.

And I won lots of books at amazing blogs!

Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis @ Sarah from I'm Loving Books. Never expected to win this one! her blog is huge and so much enteries where there I thought I never would win but I did!

The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda@ Nikki from Fiction-Freak. My first audiobook! I need so FAQ on how to use it though......

This week was the best! Seriously, I'm love these weeks as a blogger getting these books to read! :D I'm considering this IMM post from last week and this week so it's HUGE. And if you were at LA's Festival Of Books I was there and I met so much great authors and the books!



For Review:

-Taken At Dusk by C.C Hunter. Isn't that cover great? And thanks to St. Martin's Press for this book! Still have to review the other first two.

-The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda. This looks total awesomesauce! And lots of blurbs, especially Becca Fitzpatrick commenting on it makes me love it just as more.

The Library Haul:

-And Then Things Fall Apart by Arlaina Tibensky. I like the cover alot for this one. Picked it out at the library as an impulse pick and I hope I like it since I'm really getting into Realistic Fiction.

-The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe. A virus. Quarentine. Small Island. I NEED To start on this one! I love the type of book where it involves a virus and people surviving and I'm having high expectations for this and romance! :)



And as all you know, I went to LA's Festival of Books this Saturday and it was my second year coming and I love the experience! It was aweosme and one of the most bookish social events I've ever been to and I'm sure I'm going next year! ^^



I met Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl, and Lauren Kate and the YA Panel like around 12:00 and it lasted for an hour but it felt like only 30 minutes since it was completely surreal and amazing! They talked about there books, doing a reading, and asking questions I love them! They were up beat and bubbly with their personality it was great meeting them! I did get my Beautiful Creatures book signed below:

And we took a pictures..and look there's me on the right.

 

And I also met Jessica Therrien author of Oppression at the festival and she was great. I'm mean her personality and bubblyness was great. I was greatful to meet her! And I bought her book signed below:

So happy to receive this a couple week back! If you know Hayley from YA-Aholic she's been raving all about how great this book is and I finally requested it a long time ago and was but on the waiting list, and I thought I would never receive it but I got it! So yay! ;)

 Finally got The Iron King! I've been late on reading this amazing series! I know people are either on Team Puck or Ash so I'm definetly ready for that! And I heard Julie Kawgawa is a talented writer so can't wait to start reading it! I already finished Spell bound and loved it so review will be up on the blog around this week or so. And last Cut and if you heard Jude's Review on it she said it was a beyond words book so I have to see myself! ;D

I love dysoptians! When I saw Eve at the library just sitting there, looking at me, telling me to grab me, I did. And I read the first few chapters and I was so so hooked!

dancergirl by Carol M. Tanzman

Didn't anyone notice that dancergirl is lowercased? 0.0 *twitchs* Talk about stalkers and dancing? Pefect combo! I heard lots of amazing things about this and when I saw it at the library I had to get it for myself! Yay, dancergirl! :D

You Against Me by Jenny Downham

I haven't read Before I Die but with the mixed reviews on it I thought I should pass out[should I try it?] on it. And since I'm liking relistic fiction now, I had to grab You Against Me!

I saw this at Marshells and it been on my mind for a long time whether or not it was good. Then I saw it was $1! One freaking dollar, though it was pretty messed up :/ I HAD to get it!

I am reading Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and I loving it so far! But if you know Jude from In Between Writing and Reading and I couldn't help myself to get this book because of her review! Forbidden is definitely intense and full of incest in all the wrong places but its definitely beautiful :D Check her review HERE.

*Fever by Lauren DeStefano

I have been waiting for this forever! I pre-ordered it form Barnes and Noble and if you guys didn't know that if you pre-order a book you don't pay the shippping if you do it in the store of course. Amazing right?!  Definetly pre-ordering more 2012 releases! I am reading it right now and I am left breathless! I am half-way into it since last night staying up till 11 p.m and its just amazing and I am slowly reading it since I have to wait another year for the 3rd book! Arrgh! :D Definelty read Wither!

Each time I come to the Brand Bookshop I always find what I never expect and still want! I was super excited to see Speak right on the highest bookshelf and got it for around $4! I read it in December and I needed my own copy! Water for Elephants was a 50-50 choices. I was thinking whether to get it but I'm not sure if I'll love it...so it might be up for grabs as a giveaway! I got it for $7 dollars which is pretty good :)

I'm really excited to start on this! let me tell you the story on this one! . So I've been looking for this book forever at Barnes and Noble the day before it gets released and I looked everywhere for this book!! After my attempt, I ask the Barnes and noble workers to help me out and soon it became a seach party! Ben, Michael, and I scoured thorught BN looking for the book untill we found it in the cookbook area!! I was like "YES!!!" Its was fun and made me as excited to read the book now :)

Hi bookworms! How was Christmas?! Well, for me that meant staying up late and being with friends and family. I didn't get any books,sadly :( But lots of great presents,which I did not see coming at all and even if In My Mailbox is for books I'll also include what I got! Yay! :D Also this is my last Mailbox for 2011! I can't wait to see what you fellow booklovers received in 2012!

Christmas Presents!:

So I didn't get any books since my family doesn't want to help my book addiction, sadly :( I mostly got clothes and I also got a $25 dollar AMC gift card! I was really happy to receive this from my family and I can't wait to hit the movie theaters to watch The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo
