Waiting On Wednesday (#7) ~ Throne Of Glass

Waiting On Wednesday Is Hosted by Jill @ Breaking The Spine

This Week I am waiting on Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and The Raft by S.A Bodeeen

Goodreads Synopsis:  After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men—thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the kings council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

I actually just found out Throne of Glass a few minutes ago! It sounds so so good and it kinda reminds me of Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers. And I love historical fictions and this one looks like a must read! :)

The Raft

Goodreads Synopsis:   Robie is an experienced traveler. She’s taken the flight from Honolulu to the Midway Atoll, a group of Pacific islands where her parents live, many times. When she has to get to Midway in a hurry after a visit with her aunt in Hawaii, she gets on the next cargo flight at the last minute. She knows the pilot, but on this flight, there’s a new co-pilot named Max. All systems are go until a storm hits during the flight. The only passenger, Robie doesn’t panic until the engine suddenly cuts out and Max shouts at her to put on a life jacket. They are over miles of Pacific Ocean. She sees Max struggle with a raft.

And then . . . she’s in the water. Fighting for her life. Max pulls her onto the raft, and that’s when the real terror begins. They have no water. Their only food is a bag of Skittles. There are sharks. There is an island. But there’s no sign of help on the way

I love a good survival type of book and especially the movies, so when The Raft came up on my mind I had to put it in my WoW. It sounds really good and the cover creeps me out! O.O And its a short read so I could devour it in one whole day. I NEED this book!
