Goodreads Blurb: What if your worst enemy turned out to be the best friend you ever had?
Meet Brooke: Popular, powerful and hating every minute of it, she’s the “It” girl at Douglas High in Lake Champion, Minnesota. Her real ambition? Using her operatic mezzo as a ticket back to NYC, where her family lived before her dad ran off with an up and coming male movie star.
Now meet Kathryn: An overachieving soprano with an underachieving savings account, she’s been a leper ever since Brooke punched her at a party junior year. For Kath, music is the key to a much-needed college scholarship.
The stage is set for a high-stakes duet between the two seniors as they prepare for the prestigious Blackmore competition. Brooke and Kathryn work toward the Blackmore with eyes not just on first prize but on one another, each still stinging from a past that started with friendship and ended in betrayal. With competition day nearing, Brooke dreams of escaping the in-crowd for life as a professional singer, but her scheming BFF Chloe has other plans. And when Kathryn gets an unlikely invitation to Homecoming, she suspects Brooke of trying to sabotage her with one last public humiliation.
As pressures mount, Brooke starts to sense that the person she hates most might just be the best friend she ever had. But Kathryn has a decision to make. Can she forgive? Or are some rivalries for life?

My Review:
Rival was such a musical, rivalry book between two girls who want the same dream and used to be friends that made me stay up till midnight!!! :)
That is how great this book was! The hardest thing about blogging on a book that you love is telling how much you love or hate the book and it took me forever to post this up ever since three months ago! And it took lots of me pushing myself to do this. *Throws Confetti*
It was really good! So enjoyable beacuse the writing was done well, and I really loved Brooke and Katheryn and it was so hard to find who I liked. And I really recommend this to everyone who is struggling to see if that old enemy who used to be your friend could be your best friend. I look forward to see any other books by Miss Wealer! :)
The story starts with senior year when Katheryn and Brooke used to be friends till one year Brooke actually punches Katheryn in front of everyone and is on Youtube, the internet, and is the buzz at school. They became friends when Katheryn was invited to Brooke's party to make new friends And from there it changes point-of-view,which I thought was done pretty good and you follow how each girl is fighting for Blackmore.
I give this book 4 stars! It was so great and enjoyed every second and was surprised to find it one of my favorites! :D
Really Good, but had a very little flaws here and there, but its worth to buy it! Will stil re-read..!
